Anyone who knows me knows how passionate I am about preventative, minimally invasive dentistry — especially when it comes to children’s dental health.

I was fortunate to have a wonderful dentist growing up, and because of that positive experience, I needed very little dental intervention throughout my life. That early trust and comfort in the dental chair inspired me to become a dentist myself.

Recently, I filmed a short feature with Henry Schein One and Pearl, showcasing my set-up on the Dentsply Sirona Primescan One and how I use it to educate young patients about good oral hygiene.

We live in a visual, fast-paced world — and helping children see and understand their own oral health is one of the best ways to engage them early. By teaching positive brushing and diet habits from a young age, we can help them avoid a lifetime of invasive dental treatments.

At Dental Care Perth, we’re passionate about helping local families build strong oral health foundations — and we’re delighted to announce that we are now registering children under 12 years old at no cost. It’s our way of making quality, preventative dental care more accessible to families in the Perthshire community.

Outside the clinic, I’ve also started visiting local primary schools across Perthshire on my days off to give fun, interactive oral health presentations (and yes — there are plenty of stickers involved!).
